about Me
My life has been a journey I am proud of. The challenges have advanced me and the joys keep my fire burning. When I look in the mirror I see the drive of being born and raised in New York City and the love of living many years in Hawaii. I am a professional product of executive leadership, elite athletics and esteemed community advocacy. My speaking is a blend of all I am. I let my tongue articulate what my heart feels to ensure the audience gets my authentic self.
As a former athlete and business owner, I champion elite personal behavior. I use my graduate level of education and elite athletic experiences to cultivate thought partnerships that are actionable, manageable, and sustainable. In addition, over 25 years corporate, racial/social justice and orator experiences enable me to relate to diverse communities, professional groups, and individuals.
I am currently the Executive Director for Women’s Foundation of Oregon, a philanthropist non-profit organization that focuses on the systems that impede true justice. I have also served as the interim Executive Director of Western States Center (WSC) and was the Chief Operating Officer for one of the largest culturally specific nonprofits in Oregon.
I am the proud solo parent of a recent college math major graduate, a current college biology student, and high school student-athlete. I call my children my superpowers because they (and all children) are the impetus to my drive and success. I have a justice heart and systems mind ready to get the work done so we can have a place we can all be proud of beyond our existence. Someone did this for us, I believe we are now that “someone”.
